Aside from the funny memes circulating, there is one other thing that the Corona Virus has shown us and that is that planning for the future is difficult. The rules are going to change…often. We all need to remain flexible, but we thought we would give you an update on our plans as they currently sit to allow you to do some future planning of your own.
The event will be held on Sunday, 25th October The Targa City Sprint is a speed event competition where up to 80 cars compete on the City of Perth Special Stage on the Sunday morning prior to the Targa West cars arriving in the afternoon. Cars start at 30 second intervals and race against the clock with the winner being the car that is fastest over the 4 runs of the City of Perth stage. And what event would be complete without an exotic or two. Not only is there the action of the Targa City Sprint to watch but the Celebration of Motorsport brings over cars, trucks, bikes and boats from all motorsrpot disciplies to Langley Park and also alongside Riverside Drive there is a display of up to cars and bikes of interest in the Shannons Classics on the Park. The City of Perth Family Zone has a variety of activities for kids of all ages to get hands on with while the rest fo the family enjoy the spectacle in and around Langley Park. There are many vantage points for Spectating, for further details see our Spectator information here. Please also keep and eye on the Official Noticeboard for up to date information for competitors. Cars compete against the clock at 30 second intervals over the same course used by the Make Smoking History Targa West in the afternoon. Ample opportunity is provided to perform a reconnaissance lap before doing 4 timed runs.
